Back pain at night can have several causes:
.Heart disease, when the heart has a heart attack or angina, there may be pain in the back of the left side, which is radiating pain, to be diagnosed and treated with cardiac ultrasound, electrocardiogram, cardiac angiography and blood tests;
.Cholecystitis or gallbladder stones, both of which can cause radiating pain in the right side of the back and can also cause pain at night, which should be diagnosed and treated with ultrasound and CT scan of the gallbladder;
.Herpes zoster, patients with herpes zoster may have pain in the back, may have pain at night, and may develop clusters of herpes after the incubation period, which should be diagnosed and treated by a dermatologist;
.Intercostal neuralgia, patients with intercostal neuralgia may also experience pain at night in the intercostal nerve, often stabbing, vague or radiating pain, which should be examined for early diagnosis and treatment.
